I'm back!
Hello, to all three folks who follow me. LOL!
It's been quite a while since I have blogged. Honestly, I forgot I had even created this blog! Life happens and, as we all know, things become forgotten or ignored. Anyway, let's catch up...
Since I last blogged, I became a grandma, moved from Kansas to Georgia, and decided to go back to college. We are actually in the process of moving again (to Texas) in a few short months!
My Grand-daughter
My sweet grand-daughter, Mila, was born in April of 2017. I had the honor of being there to coach my daughter through labor and delivery and live only 2 blocks away from her since then. Sadly, in a few days, my daughter is moving with her husband overseas. My heart is breaking, but I understand that we only keep our children for a short while, and that I have been more than blessed to have been able to spend this time with my grand-daughter.
Kansas to Georgia
Our move from Kansas to Georgia (in December of 2016) was, as always, due to the Army life. My husband went from being enlisted to being an officer. We are so very proud of him. After graduation, he went overseas (I stayed in the states with our kids and our grand-daughter), so I cannot speak on what has changed in our lives due to him becoming an officer, because our lives, at the moment, are unchanged.
College
It took me 36 years, but I finally realized what I wanted to be when I grow up! I took the (very scary) leap and enrolled in college again. I attend online, so keeping up with school while still doing everything else hasn't been too hard. Yes, some nights I stay up writing essays, creating PowerPoints, or reading until my eyes bleed, but nothing worthwhile comes easy. I have been attending school for a year and four months now and am doing well and I am still as excited and enthusiastic as I was when I (finally) realized what I was truly meant to study.
Georgia to Texas
Now we are gearing up for his return and our move (back) to Texas. My husband and I purchased our first home and I have been super excited preparing to decorate in a whole new style. You guessed it... Farmhouse! Yes, I jumped on the bandwagon. I just love the coziness of it all. I do throw in a few glam and boho touches, so it's unique to who I am. After all, if there is one thing I live by, it's "Be you in everything you do."
So that sums it up, I think. I hope to be able to blog more, but I can't promise much. My make-up addiction has taken a backseat to some of the other things in my life, but I still love it as much as ever. However, if there is anything you want me to keep sharing about, whether it be make-up or decorating the new place, just drop me a comment! I'll do my best to keep up!
Much love to you all!
